Here are some Before and After Pictures:

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photofacials

This treatment can be used to treat sun spots, age spots, dark unwanted hair, and vascular lesions (veins) on the face. The StarLux Light-Based System delivers a precise pulse of light energy that is absorbed by the hair or pigment in the skin causing a thermal reaction. There is no down time and works well to create a rejuvenated appearance.

Gentle Waves LED Photomodulation

The Gentle Waves utilizes Light Emitting Diodes (LED's) to activate cells causing them to produce collagen. By building collagen, wrinkles can be reduced to create a more youthful appearance. This process can also be used to reduce skin irritation and a number of enzymes that breakdown healthy skin. The treatment lasts only 35 seconds and should be scheduled in a series of 8-10 treatments over 4-5 weeks. Just give us a call for more information...

 Testimonials for gentlewaves:

'…GentleWaves may well be the first accessible technology that actually can amplify the very process of wound healing. I think GentleWaves not only maintains the effects achieved from other modalities, but improves the results.'

Dr. Douglas Key, associate clinical professor of dermatology and science, University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, OR

'I was particularly impressed by the actual science behind the project. … After treating one patient five or six times, I received a call from her aesthetician asking what I had done to make this patient's pores smaller. That aesthetician and several of her clients have subsequently become GentleWaves patients.'

Dr. Brian Biesman, clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Microdermabrasion

Also known as particle resurfacing, microdermabrasion revitalizes the skin. The process involves gentle removal of skin layers with fine crystals of aluminum oxide. Conditions treated by microdermabrasion include blackheads, whiteheads, superficial age spots (discolorations) and very fine wrinkles.

AHA Chemical Peels (Glycolic Peels)

We utilize the NeoStrata AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) system for our peels. Glycolic acid is one of the alpha hydroxyacids, a group of naturally occurring substances often referred to as 'fruit acids' because they are found naturally in various fruits and other foods. Many skin problems are caused by or associated with an excessive build-up of dead skin cells that makes the skin thick and dull, and may cause clogged pores. This treatment helps to loosen and remove those surface layers of skin.

Sunscreens

Sunscreen usage in an SPF of 30 or greater is recommended year-round, rain or shine. Special circumstances apply in the Big Sky country. For each 1,000 feet of elevation, the amount of ultra-violet (UV) radiation reaching the ground increases by at least 4-8%. Paint, cement, sand, snow and water reflect UV light, increasing teh radiation damage to your skin.. Studies support that UVB (short wavelength) rays, those which cause sunburns, and the longer UVA wavelengths, which contribute to aging, are directly related to skin cancer. The importance of using a good broad spectrum sunscreen could not be over-emphasized.

In general, the highter the SPF (sun protection factor), the more broad spectrum the coverage. The newer sunscreens have one of the following ingredients which allows them to be broad spectrum sunscreens: Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Parsol 1789 (avobenzone), or Benzophenones. Itis important to keep it cool as exposure to heat breaks down the active ingredients making the sunscreen ineffective. One way around this problem is to keep the ColoreScience Powdered Sunscreen handy in your glove compartment, backpack or purse.
